Revised: 6/12/2010
"
In the absence of clearly defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily acts of trivia.

Note:
Each time a course is taught, the lecture pages are revised. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. So, as you
look ahead at the lecture pages for a course you are taking, understand that future pages are subject to change.
The purpose of this page is to remind myself of things I want to do for upcoming lectures, and to provide
a place for students to see and comment on the direction that current lectures are taking. I listen to student
requests for specific topic discussions, and react if I believe it is in the best interest of the class and
I have the time.So these "plans" are not committments. They represent things I want to present or presentations I
want to improve. I usually manage to complete about 75% of my plans for lectures by the time
they are actually given.
