How to

Create a C#/VB snippet

  1. Create a snippet (blank or existing).
  2. Press F5 (or select Build|Start)

Run more than one snippet

  1. Follow steps above, or Open existing snippets.
  2. Press CTRL+F5 to build and run all of the snippets. Note that all non-ASPX snippets must be of the same type (ie. C# or VB)

Create an ASP.NET snippet

  1. Ensure the Web Root and Web URL options are set properly. (Note that all files in the Web Root are deleted every time the snippet is run.)
  2. Select File|New|Default.<LANGUAGE>.aspx
  3. Press F5 (or select Build|Start)

Create an ASP.NET snippet with code-behind

  1. Create new ASPX snippet or open existing one.
  2. Create or open a C# or VB snippet.
  3. Ensure the following:
  4. Press CTRL+F5 (or select Build|Start All)

Debug using a debugger

If you place a call to System.Diagnostics.Debugger.Break() into your code, you will be prompted at runtime to select a debugger. I usually pick the CLR debugger since it seems to be quickest. If you compiled with debug symbols, you can then step through your code as you would in VS.NET. See the "Break Info Debugger" samples in the samples folder.

Outline code

Automatic outlining isn't supported in the Syncfusion control yet, but you can enable outlining on code blocks manually by selecting a block, right-clicking on it and choosing "Outlining|Hide Selection".

Use Projects

Projects are simply collections of files that can be saved and loaded.  To save all loaded snippets a project, select Save Project.  To open a project, choose Open Project, select the project and open.  (You can also open more than one file at once in the standard File|Open menu.)
