This lecture introduces Interface Definition Language (IDL). You've seen some of this already, so here we concentrate on representing a variety of types used in COM development.

   This is an ATL version of the raw C++ In-Process COM component we looked at in the previous lecture. It provides two clients that you will want to compare: a plain C++ client that does all the error checking and interface handling, and a CComClient that uses ATL helper classes to take care of a lot of that detail.

   This project has two clients, a C++ console application that uses the ATL helper classes, and a C# client.
   You may find this useful for Project #2.
