Today we discuss the results of the Midterm Examination. I will be handing back graded exams and discussing my solutions to each of the exam questions.
  1. The Syllabus describes topics to be covered, reading material for you to digest before coming to class, and due dates for the assigned projects.
  2. Projects:

    Project #2
    Dependency Analysis

Project #3, Project3HelpS17 Code Publisher Samples
Code Publisher - publishing source code files as web pages.

    Project #4, Project4HelpS17
    Remote Code Publisher
  3. Midterm solutions and Makeup

Here are links to my solutions:
Exam #1, Exam #2 - will discuss at the 8:00am session
Exam #3, Exam #4 - will discuss at the 11:00am session

code solutions which illustrate many of the answers.

I've placed a Midterm Makeup Examination, doc in the Midterm folder for CSE687. You will find a requirement to evaluate each of your Midterm Exam answers plus 10 additional questions, all of which you do as a take-home examination, due no later than 5/8/2016.

If you do them all very well, then I will raise your midterm grade to 85, but no higher. If there are significant flaws in your submission, then I will not change your current midterm grade.

If your grade is higher than 83, then, from a grade point of view, you probably should elect to spend your time working on the last two projects.

The TAs and I will discuss any of the questions on the makeup with you, showing you exactly how to prepare an answer. But, we will not do that for all the questions. You need to save your questions for those few things you really don't know how to handle.
